Together we strive for equality
LYGIOSIOS is an organisation based in Kaunas, Lithuania, whose main goal is to make a significant impact on the lives of Lithuanian women. Through local activism and the power of social media, we work to ensure women's safety and equality. In a society where gender inequality, women's insecurity, various forms of violence (psychological, physical, sexual and harassment), discrimination and post-feminism still exist, we are committed to making women's concerns and expectations visible and prioritised.
How we work?

We make extensive use of platforms such as Instagram and Facebook for education, socialising, emotional support and information.

We work with municipalities, public authorities and other organisations to create a safer environment in cities and across the country.
- 3.
We actively collaborate with other organisations and activists to strengthen the influence of the feminist movement.
- 4.
We organise exhibitions that address the social problems women face in society, and we initiate various forms of protest.
